Two British women, Jane Asher and Jo Corben, each set their second world records at the London 2016 European Masters Swimming Championships. They set these records in two days worth of swimming events.
The two women won a total of eight individual gold medals. Asher, who swims for the Kings Cormorants, won her golds in 200m and 400m freestyle, as well as the 50m freestyle. Her time for the 50m freestyle in the 85-89 year olds category was an even 39 seconds. She beat the old world record by 5.7 seconds.
Meanwhile, Jo Corben won golds in 200m and 100m backstroke. She set her world record in 100m backstroke with a 1:07.75, the best time in the 45-49 year old age group.
