Properly preparing for a swim meet is extremely important. Beyond training, providing your body with healthy foods is a key to success. Some swim meets will last all day and your body needs to power to be able to perform.
One great snack is fruit and yogurt, this snack provides protein and carbohydrates necessary for energy. Packing some celery, fruit or oatmeal and combining them with almond butter is super to keep your stomach full.
Finally protein bars, there are several different brands available. Make sure to check the label for addition and unnecessary additives such as sugar. If you cannot find one you like, consider making your own.
