With the many benefits of Yoga, several moves can help improve your Yoga practice by providing a positive effect on not only your body, but also your thinking. By using both our proprioceptive senses and kinesthetic abilities, new movements and neural connections can be improved throughout life.
Although we prefer being repetitive, creativity is a big part of our growth. Reintroducing older movements that we may have done in our youth allows us to reap the benefits of making that move new again. By making the move new again, we can take advantage of a “Yoga Tune Up” by challenging the brain and body in new ways.
We can also look at traditional Yoga moves such as the asana and uttanasana and tweak them in a new way. It is important to challenge yourself in new ways by practicing new movements.
