Exercise Speeds Seniors’ Recovery From Disability

With health being a number one concern in the world these days, it is no wonder that so much research is being done for preventative maintenance for when you’re older and throughout your whole life. New studies are showing that exercising has a great impact on your recovery rate and the probability of not having a disability as you age.

The hardest part about this concept is that not everyone decides to make time for physical activity. If you could buy being exercised in a store I am sure millions would do so. Unfortunately you cannot. The best thing for your health is to get out there and start moving. Don’t forget it is never too late to start.

Key Points:

  • Get a friend to take up the exercise with you to help with motivation.
  • As simple as it sounds, any kind of walking is going to be your best bet.
  • If you keep doing physical activity, no matter how old, you are more likely to recover from an impairment.

“It’s well-known that regular exercise can have a range of health benefits, including lower risks of heart disease, diabetes, certain cancers and depression.”
