Which Came First? The Diet or the Exercise?

For years, I used to believe that weight loss depended solely on how I worked my body. I wasn’t completely wrong, I remember always battling weight as an adolescent and losing weight during the summers when I committed to various weight loss work-out regimens. I classically focused on increasing my exercise because I had control over that and could see a change in how my body built muscle. However, in more recent years, I had become convinced that the best way to lose weight was through changing my diet. I lowered my intake of carbs and increased my leafy greens and I saw how my body positively responded to the changes I made. However, now that I have seen both methods affect my body, I can’t help but wonder which one works best. Which came first: the diet or the exercise?
