The need to combine exercise time with play time is in high demand. While most use a pool for only the recreation side with family and friends others are utilizing their “recreational” body of water to create and perform exercises that are not only healthy and good for the body and mind, but also fun that can be done with others.
Many of the possible exercises, with possibilities seeming endless, are rather simple and surprisingly great for toning your body and burning calories. Starting at what may be the simplest of them all, laps. Then stretching all the way to workouts with pool noodles, beach balls, to even water specific weights. Combining workouts with being in the pool will get you ready and prepared for having a great body in the upcoming seasons.
Key Points:
- The best workout in the pool is still just swimming around the water and doing as many laps as you can do.
- Some of the normal workouts you normally do with weight, like squats, can be used and be just as good in the pool.
- There are some workouts and exercises that you can only do in the pool that do help out different parts of the body.
“Pool exercise engages every muscle in your body, but is low-impact so you can burn calories and get fit without straining your joints.”
