Water aerobics is actually a great exercise for those who want to lose weight. Excercising in water is a great option for those who are over weight, have an injury, or suffer from joint pain.

You can either join a class or try some of the following exercises on your own. The Otter Roll is a move where you float on your back and flip over like an otter. This works out your core and obliques. To perform the Ball Level, float face down and hold a ball below water to tone the arms and core. Water kickboxing in a pool provides resistance to your punches which will help you burn calories. Aqua jogging and hamstring curls are also great water workouts.
